The Parks Foundation is pleased to announce a fundraising partnership with the Valley of the Moon Park Riders Union, whose mission is to provide a strong foundation upon which to build a thriving skateboard community in Sonoma Valley. Together, we are striving to establish a premier facility for skateboarding in Sonoma Valley.

Valley of the Moon Park Riders Union is an organized community group of skateboarders, parents, educators, business owners and other interested members of Sonoma Valley community.

An opportunity to revitalize existing skatepark for the community
As part of the Maxwell Farms Regional Park Master Plan, the concept for the skatepark includes expanding and renovating the concrete infrastructure, as well as adding basic amenities such as a restroom, water fountains, shade and viewing areas.
Fundraising Goals
Commemorative benches and picnic tables will be available in Maxwell Farms Regional Park and are a special opportunity to honor a special event, person or organization. These items include a plaque with wording of your choice, subject to approval. The cost to sponsor a picnic table or bench or ten years is $3,000
Donations of any size are welcome!

- Total target for skatepark expansion: $600,000
- Two phases of development, with each phase approximately $300,000
- Seeking opportunities to use volunteer labor from Valley of the Moon Park Riders Union to reduce costs
